Biography
Amber joined BYU–Hawaii in April 2025. A second-generation BYU–Hawaii graduate, Amber was born and raised in American Fork, Utah. She served in the Japan Fukuoka Mission before beginning her undergraduate studies at BYU–Hawaii. During her time as a student and while working at the Polynesian Cultural Center, she developed a strong passion for studying different cultures and cross-cultural communication. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Anthropology and Communication, Media & Cultural Studies.
Following her undergraduate studies, Amber returned to Utah and later earned a Master of Arts in Cultural Studies from SOAS, University of London in the United Kingdom.
Prior to joining BYU–Hawai‘i, Amber worked as a Student Success Advisor at Ensign College in Salt Lake City, Utah.
