Brynnlee Brunt began working for BYU–Hawaii in November 2020. She is working as an administrative assistant for the Faculty of Culture, Language & Performing Arts. She said she is enjoying working in this capacity and being able to rub shoulders with great professors and wonderful administrative staff. Before moving to Laie, Brynnlee and her husband, Johnathan,
were living in Eagle Mountain, Utah, with their 2-year-old daughter Liliana. Johnathan was accepted as a student at BYUH and began his studies remotely in April 2020, after which Brynnlee and Johnathan moved their family to Laie in August 2020. They recently added a new addition to their family when Brynnlee gave birth to their second daughter, Malia, in March 2021. Malia is just shy of 6 months old now, and Brynnlee said her big sister, Liliana, adores having her "little baby" in the house! Brynnlee said she loves fulfilling her role each day as a wife and mother and is grateful to be working part-time for BYUH that allows her to still spend time at home with her daughters.
Brynnlee is an alumna of BYUH and began attending in 2012. She took a break from school to serve a mission in the Canada Toronto Mission from 2013-2014. After finishing her mission, Brynnlee returned to BYUH where she graduated in the spring of 2015 with her bachelor’s degree in social work. Brynnlee worked as a licensed social service worker for five years before moving back here to Laie. Brynnlee said she worked with a wide population of people from refugees, to aging adults, children with mental health needs, and parents working in the foster care system. She is grateful for all of the experiences BYUH brought her as a single student and now as a wife and mother
