Cam Crowther is an entrepreneur and educator whose work focuses on business creation in emerging markets, and the future of work. He is the author of Made from Scratch, a practical guide to building sustainable businesses with limited resources.
Cam is the founder of BLK LBL Ventures, a multinational venture studio that builds technology-enabled companies. He also serves as president of the Academy for Creating Enterprise, which provides practical entrepreneurship education and support to more than 25,000 people across 18 countries.
Cam earned a Master of Business from London Business School, where he was a Sloan Fellow and recipient of the LBS Sloan Masters Award. He earned his Juris Doctor from Washington and Lee University, where he was a Transnational Law Institute Scholar in Nepal and the H. Crim Peck Scholar.
Cam served a full-time mission in Costa Rica and has held a variety of Church callings. He and his wife, Marissa, have four children. He enjoys traveling, playing and coaching sports, and cooking, and is a winner of the Dutch Oven Throwdown.

Cam’s research focuses on artificial intelligence and business creation in developing economies, sustainable venture creation under resource constraints, and the future of work.
His current work examines whether artificial intelligence can provide entrepreneurs in constrained economies with affordable access to financial analysis, market research, operational planning, product development, and other forms of expertise that have historically been difficult to obtain and improve performance
