Biography
Conrad joins the faculty of the Accounting Program of the Faculty of Business & Government after serving nearly seven years as part of the accounting faculty at Missouri State University. His research and teaching specialize in accounting and auditing topics, with some additional interest in emerging technologies, curriculum, certifications, and legal implications for the accounting profession.
Conrad earned both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Accountancy degrees at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah in 2005, along with earning a Ph.D. at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas in 2018. His experience includes earning a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Texas (currently active in Texas), working at a Big Four professional accounting firm, and as a Technical Reviewer for the state CPA association in Texas. While at BYU, Conrad met his wife Brynn, and they are the parents of four children.
While born in Utah, raised in Texas, and then spending time in Utah, (back in) Texas, in Kansas, and in Missouri, along with in Spain as a full-time missionary, Conrad considers wherever he lives as home and looks forward to tremendous experiences here at BYU–Hawaii. He and his family love spending time both relaxing in and exploring their surroundings, sports, the beach, the mountains, and being active in activities at both Church and in the community. He and his family look forward to doing all they can to further the sacred mission of BYU–Hawaii.
