Jaxon Mccloy

Mechanical Engineer
Facilities Management

Jaxon grew up in Salem, Utah, raised by a single mother and three older sisters. Fascinated by machines and heavy construction, he said engineering was the only option for him. He attended Utah State University and graduated with a bachelor’s in civil engineering with a structural emphasis. After graduation, he went to a structural engineering firm in Southern California in order to learn seismic engineering, and in 2010 got his civil/structural engineering license. While there, he had an opportunity to work with the company’s MEP department and learned energy modeling, mechanical HVAC design, plumbing, and electrical power systems design. This training led to getting his Mechanical PE license in 2014. Jaxon is a licensed professional engineer in California, Utah, Idaho, Michigan, and Hawaii with the future goal to get the specialized structural SE license and an electrical PE license. In 2019, Jaxon opened his own engineering firm, which he continues today with another structural designer and a drafter.

Jaxon is married with five children. He grew up camping, hiking, hunting, 4-wheeling, and snowboarding.
