Biography
Jill Spencer serves as the Catering Assistant for BYU–Hawaii Food Services. She brings more than 12 years of management and customer service experience, along with many years of organizing community and church events. Jill has a passion for hospitality and creating thoughtful, beautiful, and well-organized experiences for others. She especially enjoys hospitality because it provides an opportunity to serve, make people happy, and give others the very best experience.
Originally from southern Indiana near Louisville, Kentucky, Jill has had the opportunity to live in several places throughout the United States and abroad, including Schweinfurt, Germany; Delta, Utah; and White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico. Living in diverse communities has given her a rich appreciation for different cultures, people, and experiences and has helped shape who she is today. She and her husband, Brendan Spencer, who serves as the BYU–Hawaii Theatre Manager, are grateful to call Hawaiʻi home and enjoy experiencing the rich culture and beauty of the islands.
Jill is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Management through Western Governors University. She and Brendan have five children and love spending time together as a family. Jill enjoys being creative in many forms, especially designing and decorating homes and events. She also loves spending time outdoors, looking for shells along the beach, and enjoying live music.
