Biography
Originally from the state of Idaho, Elder Kevin Brower is currently serving as a full-time senior missionary in the Hawaii Laie Mission with his wife, Sister Nori Brower. As of September 9th, they are six months into their 23-month assignment focusing on project-based experiential learning in Career Services for students at BYU–Hawaii.
Prior to this calling to serve, Elder Brower retired after a full career in multiple aspects of education including 33 years as a full-time faculty member at BYU–Idaho. He also earned degrees from Utah State University, Brigham Young University, and Arizona State University.
Elder Brower’s career included conducting multiple music ensembles, producing music programs, acting and singing, and teaching courses in music, humanities, career explorations, and interdisciplinary studies. He also served as Director of Choral Activities, Chair of the Department of Music, Dean of the College of Performing and Visual Arts, and Dean of Academic Success and Interdisciplinary Studies at BYU–Idaho.
Elder and Sister Brower are the parents of four children and grandparents to 12. Together they enjoy traveling, camping, and a good classic movie with a great story to tell.
