Biography
Sister Cobbley is a Senior Missionary working with Elder Cobbley in the Dean of Students office, helping create the new Relationships and Family Development office. They have been serving at Brigham Young University – Hawaii since February of 2026. They live in Gaston, Oregon, where they have a beautiful view home on 4 acres of land, and Sister Cobbley has plenty of land to cultivate into gardens. They currently have 7 children and 18 grandchildren to bless their lives.
Sister Cobbley was born in Wenatchee, Washington, and spent most of her growing up years in South Seattle, with a view of beautiful Mount Ranier. She attended and graduated from BYU–Provo with an associate degree in English and a bachelor’s degree in Humanities. She later earned her graduate degree in Social Work from Portland State University, while simultaneously raising four young children.
With her LCSW license, Sister Cobbley has worked for LDS Family Services, Salem and St. Charles Hospitals in medical social work. She then launched her own therapy practice focused on mental health for women, where she served her clients for 20 years.
Her grandchildren are her favorite hobby, along with a love of gardening, traveling with Elder Cobbley, and hiking in the beautiful Northwester United States, or wherever her travels take her.
Sister Cobbley loves serving in ‘paradise’ and especially enjoys working with the amazing students here. They see her innate love and enthusiasm, and especially her faith and devotion to Jesus Christ, and are naturally drawn to her.
