Nijahl Auelua was born and raised in Lā‘ie, Hawai‘i, and graduated from Kahuku High & Intermediate School. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Management with an emphasis in Organizational Leadership and Human Resources from Brigham Young University–Hawai‘i in 2026, graduating Summa Cum Laude and as a member of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. He has experience in leadership, student development, operations, and supervision, and currently serves as the Retail Services Supervisor at BYU–Hawai‘i. Having grown up in Lā‘ie, Nijahl values the opportunity to work at BYU–Hawai‘i and contribute to the community that helped shape him.
Outside of work, Nijahl enjoys spending time with his wife, Jasmine, and their two daughters, Wyla and Wavey. He values family, service, and helping others grow, and he is passionate about continuing to develop as a leader while making a positive impact on the people around him.
