Paul Rama continually seeks ways to improve learning through technology. His particular research interests include computer-assisted language learning, virtual worlds, and emerging media and game studies. He has published and presented on the use of virtual worlds as environments for language development, eSports and emerging media, and technology for teaching and learning.In addition to his teaching duties, Paul currently serves as the Associate
Director of EIL (English as an International Language) Online Programs at BYU-H, overseeing the delivery of EIL online courses to students in over 30 different countries. Paul received a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies (TESOL/Spanish) from Brigham Young University Hawaii (2004), an M.A. in Spanish from California State University Long Beach (2008), and a Ph.D. in Education (Language, Learning, & Technology) from the University of California Irvine (2014).
