Areas of Professional Study and Interest
Veronica (Ronnie) Wright began her teaching career in Tallinn, Estonia where she taught Russian and Estonian students English as a Foreign Language. She has taught in a wide range of schools including preschool, high school, nonprofit schools, community colleges, and intensive English programs. Her students have also come from a wide range of backgrounds and locations and have included adult basic education students, students with disabilities, and EFL and ESL students. She is deeply interested in vocabulary learning, phrasal vocabulary, and cultural metaphors among other things. She enjoys collaborating with others on academic articles and conference presentations.
Ronnie received a B.A. in English Secondary Education from Brigham Young University (’09), a CELTA certificate from Cambridge University (’11), a Communication Intervener certificate from University of Utah (’11), and an M.A. in TESOL from Northern Arizona University (’16).
