James Mason and his wife Kelly are missionaries working in Career Services. They came to BYU–Hawaii in March 2022 and will be here for 23 months. After graduating from BYU Provo in finance and international marketing, James worked in executive marketing, finance and supply chain roles at both Dow Chemical and Lanxess Corporation. Following his corporate career, James has spent the last 10 years as a co-founder of a high-tech startup company in Bellevue WA. With sales over $300 million, this company was sold in December 2021 (the same week that the Masons received their mission call). James enjoys sharing his 40 years of business experience with students and helping them prepare to have successful careers. James and Kelly have four daughters and 14 grandchildren.
