Elder Nielsen is a graduate of BYU's Marriott School of Management with a degree in Business Management-Finance. After spending 22 years in the Automotive Finance business, in various finance and operational roles including Chief Compliance Officer, he began work for the Church as Facilities Manager in Anaheim, California where he oversaw 300,000 square feet of internal space and 500,000 square feet of external space. He soon after formed his own general contracting company, focusing primarily on small to medium-sized rebuilding projects. Elder Nielsen is a Certified Facilities Manager and a licensed General Building Contractor. He and Sister Nielsen, who is a Registered Nurse and also a graduate of BYU, live in South Orange County, California.
