Biography

Jeff joins us as the new Head of Student Experience, where he is charged with creating a formal approach to helping students interact more easily with BYUH. This work includes identifying and improving student-facing processes and promoting a student-first mindset.

Jeff last worked at Bank of Hawaii in their corporate office as SVP of Customer Experience and Research, where he built their Customer Experience (CX) program. Through this program, Jeff established the foundation for a customer-centric way of thinking.

Before working at Bank of Hawaii, Jeff was the Senior Director of Marketing & Digital Commerce at the Polynesian Cultural Center for almost six years, managing the PCC websites, online marketing, social media, email, and print marketing.

Before moving to Oahu almost ten years ago, Jeff held various positions for sixteen years at Harry & David in Medford, Oregon, and ten years at Neiman Marcus in Dallas, Texas.

Jeff earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, specializing in Marketing & Retail Management, with a composite minor in Accounting and Economics from Brigham Young University.

Jeff and his wife Lisa raised four children, who all reside on the mainland. They have five grandchildren, who they can talk about incessantly, so be careful not to ask.

Living in Laie has meant the world to them and has forever changed who they are. Jeff was blessed to serve his mission in the New Zealand Christchurch mission. His grandfather served his first mission in Hawaii in the early 1930s and spoke the Hawaiian language fluently. His grandma and grandpa also served in the Laie Temple's Visitors Center in the late 1980s.

Jeff loves the out of doors including golf, tennis, and hiking. He also loves to eat new and yummy foods, which is why he has also become an avid runner.
