Biography

Jef is currently a visiting faculty member at Brigham Young University-Hawaii teaching financial and managerial accounting. He is also the head of GAAP-land Investments. He was previously the George S. Eccles Chair in Capital Markets Research at the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University. He has also previously taught at the University of Utah and Stanford University and served as the Research Fellow for the Financial Accounting Standards Board. Professor Doyle received his Ph.D. in business from the University of Michigan, his M.S. in accounting from the University of Virginia, and his B.A. in economics from Utah State University. Previously, he worked for Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young as a Certified Public Accountant, performing tax consulting and assurance services.

He was born and raised in Pocatello, Idaho, served a Spanish-speaking mission in Anaheim, California, and is married to Sheryln Christensen. They are the parents of three children: Mikayla, Andrew, and Cameron.
