Biography
Elder John McNary was born and raised in Midland, Texas. After college and a stint in the Navy, John married Becky Lamb while in graduate school in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Moving to West Palm Beach, Florida, he worked for a large architectural firm. He served on the High Council and as bishop of the West Palm Beach Ward. Moving to Utah, after 28 years he retired as director of Campus Planning at the University of Utah. He has served on the High Council, stake presidency, and in several bishoprics. With his wife, he has served in the Canada Calgary Mission before coming to BYUH.
