Jung Oh is originally from Seoul, South Korea, migrated with his parents, brother and sister at age seven to Simi Valley, California. He lived in Simi Valley, California most of his life and just recently moved to Hawaii in November 2021 to work at the BYU–Hawaii Enterprise Information Systems department. He has worked in information technology for over 26 years. He converted to the church at age 14 and was the only member in his family growing up. He served as a full-time missionary in the Georgia Atlanta Mission. He met his eternal companion, Susannah Oh, who is also a convert to the church, in Simi Valley, California and together they have two beautiful daughters, Daphne and Lily. Both are sealed to their spouses and live in Hawaii. He feels blessed to live so close to his married children and blessed to be part of BYU–Hawaii ‘ohana
