Kaylene Phillips was raised in Monticello, Utah. She earned a bachelor’s degree in speech pathology from Utah State University. She was active in raising children, Parent Teacher Association, Daughters of Utah Pioneers, and Institutional Review Board at BYU in Provo.
David and Kaylene met at David’s mission report. All six of their children are married and they have 13 grandchildren. They will serve as education missionaries at BYU–Hawaii. In their spare time, they said they like to bike, hike and camp.
