Biography
Patiola Thompson-Beatty serves as an Administrative Assistant for the Faculty of Business & Government at Brigham Young University–Hawaii, where she provides administrative and operational support to academic leadership, faculty, staff, and students. In her role, she oversees a variety of initiatives including budget administration, event and conference coordination, website management, content creation, and student employee development. Patiola is passionate about fostering positive workplace culture, building meaningful connections, and creating opportunities for student growth and success.
Patiola is an alumna of Brigham Young University–Hawaii, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise & Sport Science with an emphasis in Sports & Fitness Management and a minor in Psychology. She also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Master of Science in Leadership (MSL) from Grand Canyon University.
In addition to her administrative responsibilities, Patiola serves as a member of the Advisory Board for the Religious Freedom & Human Dignity Initiative (RFHDI). In this capacity, she collaborates with faculty, students, and international delegates to support conferences and programs that advance understanding of religious freedom, human dignity, and peaceful engagement across cultures and nations. Through these efforts, she helps facilitate meaningful dialogue and educational experiences that contribute to the initiative’s mission and global impact.
Patiola enjoys mentoring student employees, supporting university initiatives, and contributing to the mission of Brigham Young University–Hawaii to develop disciples of Jesus Christ and leaders who will influence their families, communities, and nations. Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with family, traveling, and finding ways to make her workplace “the happiest place on earth.”
