Biography

Sara-Terina Afalava (Thompson) was born and raised in La’ie, Hawaii. She graduated from Kahuku High School in 2005 and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in Social Work, with a minor in Pacific Island Studies, from Brigham Young University–Hawaii in Fall 2019.
Sara currently serves as the full-time administrative assistant for the Joseph F. Smith Library and the Center for Academic Success (CSA). She enjoys spending time with her family, loves the beach, and is passionate about contributing to the campus community and supporting those she works with.
